Coralline algae

Hi guys,
i have had my 120 gal tank set up for about a year.

i started with dry rock from Macro rocks..

i seeding with live roclk from the differt LFS around me..

the tank is doing great.. BUT i still have no Coralline alage :(

here are my current prams ( thay have been stable for about 10 months)

ca 490
po ~0.03
Ph 8.4
Kh 9.3
Mg 1400

can thought on how to get more Coralline alage growing on the rocks..

thax

You could try to take some live rock that has coralline on it already, and take metal brush and scrape the coralline off the live rock and into the water. That will distribute the algae to there rest of the dry rock, and if you keep your params good and lights not too high, you should see some nice coralline growth within a month.

Method described above it good. We also look for snails and hermits that have in on their shell. Your calcium levels are good, what sort of lighting do you have?

I have been added mall as well
I have the 6 bulb tek t5 lighting

I bought some live rock and tried a scraping it but with no luck

I my old tank I had to clean my glass every 3-4 days to keep it clean

Maybe I should try just getting some scrappings for a fellow reffer ??

Why do u guys think?

if you have no visible coraline then yes get another piece of rock or scrapings from a friend..

i have tried getting live rock from almost all fish stores around me..
but the rocks have very little or no alage on them :(

i guess i need to find someone else who has a reef tank....

or maybe try to buy some from local reefers :)
