Well today I finally got around to pulling the hair algae out of the tank. I got 98% of it and hope the turbo snails can handle the rest. I also switched filter socks and am wet skimming.

You might want to check your phosphate readings over the next couple days since you removed what was eating it.

Sounds like you are the right track to solve the HA problem though.
