Hey everyone. Hope everybody’s doing well.
Just wanted to check in and say hi.
All good over this end, but I’ve broken down my tanks with the exception of one in work (a 15g mixed reef).
In a few weeks I’ll be cleaning the garage out so I’ll be posting quite a few things in the D&S section.
No major stuff going on here with one exception...
Had a period at the end of last year where I was pretty much told I had maybe a year left.
Was in hospital for a bit and they told me I needed surgery to have any chance at a future.
Went in for the surgery and, well, seems they were wrong, I’m fine, they made an ‘oops’ in diagnosis.
Was no need for the hospitalization, no need for surgery.
Still sent me the bill, of course.
Since then just been making life a bit simpler and getting things done that need doing.
Unfortunately the tanks weren’t part of that equation.
So, I’m mostly tankless and still alive
But, with some major home renovations starting, I did recently complete a fresh water build, its only about 1300 gallons with an upflow bog filter.
Believe it or not its maintenance free outside of the occasional filter backwash.
I also learned, as the frogs moved in, that a single 1” long frog is about as loud as a jet engine at 2am.
So, as said, hope everyone is groovie.
Going to go dig about to see if there's any meets planned (if not, may be able to host one in a couple months).
