IPSF

Placed order with indo pacific sea farms over the phone. They took several days to get back to me. However, items arrived nicely packed. They were actually the first retailer I ordered online from. I had just gotten my yellow tang and he wasn't eating just yet. Got a couple of ok softies and of course the heaven tang. Let me just say, to this day, none of my tangs eat anything faster than when they ate Tang Heaven Red (Gracilaria parvispora). The yellow and green wasn't worth it. If I ever had a veggie grazie hunger strike, this stuff would be what I use. Unfortunately, the tangs ate it faster than I could grow it (the caulerpa outcompeted it). They sent me a few free corals as well (LOL....one actually had an aiptasia sticking right out of it). Overall pretty good but not the best value unless I felt like treating my tangs to some expensive meals.

did you get any of the refugium items? pods/snails? etc.?

or just the macro?

I was thinking of kick starting my fug with some of that tang red and additional pods.

wow! i totally forgot about this place! i order the reef tank tune-up a couple times MANY years ago for my 55g. i had also ordered the Hawaiian MacroAlgae 6-Pack for a HOB Fug i attempted on that 55g that never really worked out, ended feeding it all to what ever tang i had in that tank back then. maybe i should try it again now that the 55g that was my DT back then is actually a thriving refugium now. i just dont know since i have a ton of caulerpa, dont want the same thing to happen that happened to you calaxa with the caulerpa outcompeting it. interested in trying their Amphipod Breeding Kit also.

I bought about $200 worth of stuff.

The six pack, the pods/snails etc.

Let me try to remember:

Tang Heaven Red (this stuff is incredible) My tangs jumped out of water to try to snatch from my hand. Couldn't grow it. Bit slow growing. I tried to fool them with a different macro (also red) from same genus. They ate it but not like this stuff.

Tang Heaven Yellow - it's ok. They like this about as much as my current nori (generic dried unroasted unseasoned for human consumption) which is less than they like roamine lettuce (i know....not good for them but they love it so why not)

Tang heaven green (ulva) this clogged up my fuge and created a flood. They didn't like this all that much. It was more for people trying to grow pods who don't have chaeto/caulerpa rubble rock.

Brittle Stars - I still see their feet everywhere once in awhile. Guess they do their job

Spaghetti worms - they come around once in awhile. Guess they do their jobs

Amphipods Breeding Kit (counts as 3 items...Do NOT BUY THIS. Buy only the pods. The other 2 items are a bag of generic flake food and a few pieces of macroalgae, in this case ulva) - I see them all the time. No one likes to eat them though. They hippo always tries and finds them distasteful. They are on the big side. Mandarin avoids them too. Guess he likes copepods only. They do comb some of the detritus so guess they are ok species.

Sandbed clams - they sank right into my remote dsb. Who knows where they are now. But I still read 0-5 ppm nitrate so.........(but i also had tons of cyano/hair algae that ate it all too)

Snails - They did their job I guess. Rather expensive for them though

Wondermud - Who knows if this actually works. All these live mud things are gimmicks. I could've gotten this from another reefer for free

Green toadstool
Gold Toadstool
Anthelia

Sent for free:
Brown with green center candy cane (4 heads with free aiptasia ) Zapped that guy and he never came back. This candy cane is strange. Never ever extends feeders. Almost died and has now come back.
Red Mushrooms
2nd green toadstool (which I killed in one of my first fragging lessons...don't mess so much with a healing frag.....don't superglue most softies.....don't cut a mushroom underwater...don't cut a mushroom down the middle of the stalk....don't forget where you shoved the frag cause you probably just buried it under 100 lbs of LR....softies really smell when you cut them)
Ministars (I haven't seen any asterinas in my tank except for one. Something must be eating them)

Overall, the stuff was decent, the service ok (not great). The value is not good. The only thing really exceptional is their tang heaven red. I recommend them only if you have a starving tang. I have since learned to deal with a lot fussier eaters than any stressed tang.

I think if you combine orders with people and get a bulk order of the red, this place is worth it. I think they know this too cause everything is centered on that one product.
