So I filled up the 90 gallon sump and got the temp to where it should be last night. Then I added salt. Got up this morning and tested salted levels and right on the mark.
Go in the basement, and notice a small wet spot on the platform that the tank is on. I wanted to flip out!!! It was on the fuge side of the tank which was not set up with the drain yet. So water was just sitting in it. So I drained the fuge and took out all the sand. Dried out that section and i realized that some of the silicone had sand behind it. I cleaned it all away and then cut off the stuff that was hanging. I then re-sealed it. I am really hoping that this will work. I really don't want to start with a new sump. When I came home just now, I see that there is no more leak so it has to be in the fuge section (still dry). I will wait till tomorrow and the put the sand back in and then fill it up again to see what happens.
The leak was so minor, but still a leak. Luckily that the tank is in the basement only 10 feet from the sump pump. I have already overflowed RO containers forgetting them on overnight without autoshut off. So water is not a problem if it leaks. I just don't want it to leak. Luckily the rest of the sump is fine, so the water is cycling as we speak!
Wish me luck!!!
