Media Reactor OOPS

I was looking for something last night and came across a single TB Aquatics media reactor that I had used on the 75 last year. Apparently, I never emptied it. So the water/media was still in it. Did I take it outside to empty it? No. It was raining. Soooooooo I get the bright idea of doing it in the kitchen. WHOA!!! I'm suprised I didnt pass out from the smell. So I run outside anyways and dump everything into the garbage can, grab the hose and spray everything off. Two hours later, my wife gets home and gets smacked in the face with that smell. I thought it was gone. Anyways, there were two foam (polypropylene?) pads that were in the refillable canister that no amount of rinsing would remove the black color from them. So into the garbage they went. Where can I find replacement pads at?

You can use plain old filter fabric for that. Just buy the large sheets and cut out the size you need to fit snuggly in the canister. I would suggest at least two layers to make sure nothing slips through.

If you really want the sponges contact either TB Aquatics or Bulk reef Supply. Either of them should have them.

I didn't think about that. Sometimes the solution is so simple that my mind dances right around it and complicates things. Thanks George.
