im going to be dosing kalk and i need a jug that can hold it and my ato water. i have about 6 in width to fit the jug and it needs to fit a a aqualifter pump through the hole in the lid. I could maybe move my sump over another inch or two but prefer not to. Ive been looking on amazon but all of the lids are too small. size doesnt matter as long as its over 2 gallons

thanks guys, i will try that this weekend.I have one more question off topic from this. Any ideas how to mount a surge protector(10 outlet) to the inside of my stand? it has no screw holes or id do that. I was thinking velcro but idk
Hmm that's an idea. If the industrial Velcro fails I'll look into that.
Last question(I hope) how do I know how much kalk to mix into my top off water. Let's say I get a 2 gallon jug. I have 2 part and have raised my alk to 8.5 and Cal to about 420. So now what? Id like to stay away from 2 part and just dose the kalk if possible. I should have hardly any demand now that 90% of my sps are gone. And my tank is a 40 breeder with about 8 gallons in the sump.
I did read that but I wouldn't want to do that right away right?

Start with one tsp./gal., and watch the trend of your, Ca and Alk, if it isn't keeping up with your demand between WC's increase it. Also keep an eye on your pH.
