NJ_ychung1 said:i wouldnt worry about it shriveling up. i have seen this on mine at differnt times. most frequently they do this when moved from a tank to another tank. i think combination of flow, light and water params all contribute. it thinks somethings is wrong and goes into limp mode until it's fully adjusted. i wouldn't even worry if this lasts a week as long as the flesh looks tight and remains attached to the substrate. if it falls off the rock or starts to melt away then i'd worry but then it would be too late to save anyway so why worry.

What would be a sign of melting? Right now little buds are starting to come out the top while the stalk looks to be pealing. its still limping. ill try and get an uodated pic on

It's prolly shedding and growing. Just make sure the skin doesnt hit any sps

I just let it go in the water column they will get the food they need. I have never target fed anything and it's all happy
