Anyone else make it up there this year? We went on Sunday, and a little later in the afternoon (things are a little different with a 1 year old running around) and we enjoyed it. Sunday crowds are always a bit lighter and with a stroller that made things easier. I think this was the 11th year we have been there and it is interesting seeing the vendors kind of evolve. There were some people who have been there every year, and some first timers and some we have seen a few times. Also there were some people who were not there which is always interesting to see. There were more fish there this year then we have seen in the past which was nice as we came home with a bunch of anthias and a some butterflies. We grabbed a new nero pump for out tank which was nice because it was all 20% off. Of course we grabbed some corals and a new clam.

I was not able to attend this year so that’s a few years in a row now. I have been a recluse on this site since my tank has been stored at my mother in laws house. However I will be there next year because thanks to @mnat busting his ass on Sunday and helping me get back on track the tank is now out of the mother in laws and down at our house pushing the limits with what a floor can hold! What type of anthias did you end up getting?

Sunday was rough, a lot of the fish were in poor shape that were left , Jason Fox always has good stuff so I grabbed a couple frags from him and some pods from dinkins. Kids corner was a joke, generally seems to be degrading slightly every year, booths are getting smaller, bringing less rare stuff, less variety. I still like to go, but it's not worth it if you're waiting all year for deals.

I couldn't get over the condition of the fish systems I saw online from saltwaterfish.com I hope it was just the lighting but they had an ugly yellow hue to them.

Very nice, do you remember the vendors?

This is my own pure speculation so don't take this as fact but I would not be shocked if they end the show up here in the near future. I spoke with a few of the people who run the show and it seems the Orlando show has grown to a monster, over 200 vendor booths there this year. RAP NY hasn't really grown at all in the number of booths in the 11 years they have been doing it, so I wouldn't be shocked if they just focused on RAP California and RAP Orlando and went from there. I've always enjoyed the show but I also agree with some of the sentiment here, the corals were a bit redundant this year. We got some nice bigger old school acros from a vendor I forget, and we got some really nice pieces from POTO. But I saw a lot of the same things over and over.

I didn’t go but my son went with his friend. He was thinking about picking up a purple tang but passed as they were seeing most had hlle. He did get a few nice corals but felt the show was nothing special and won’t go next year. We’re happy supporting local vendors.
