I've had a mated pair of percs for the last 5 - 6 years until this afternoon when I found the male dead. My question is this: if I put a baby perc in will it become male and pair up or is she is a widow for life? Thx.

I would do it. But realize clowns are damsels and you never know what they might do. First off, find the smallest one you can find. If you have one, put this new addition in a hang-on breeder/specimen box to see if they will get along. If there is a problem, you should know almost immediately.
