Redoing some plumbing check valve versus ball valve

I've been in the hobby since 1972. I've seen or heard of more check valves causing problems with tanks then just having a siphon break.

Ok I get what you’re saying now. That’s a great idea, I never thought to do that. I’m keeping my check valve, it always performs well and it’s already plumbed in anyway.
