Well here it goes the start of yet another build thread.
Even though I said I would not do this again, I did.
I had a perfectly nice 40b with no issues at all going and decided I had to go bigger.
So the new tank is a Aqueon 120 non drilled clear silicone tank.
The overflow is made by modular marine it has two 1” drains and two 3/4” drains. 1 of the 1” drains is fully submerged and has a gate valve to adjust flow. The other has no restrictions as is there to compensate for flow adjustments. The two 3/4” drains are for emergency and have no restrictions at all.
Return is a e-bay DC pump which got good reviews and is pushing 1050gph. it is dead silent and seems to be working fine.
The stand is custom made and will be clad in reclaimed wood same as the 40b stand here are some progress pics98E00C3A-04C6-4D11-A869-F091FB103287.jpeg546BDAC5-BD3D-4462-A7F7-E96312A0A365.jpeg8C78EB91-E006-4FF5-9DD0-0DD5643561ED.jpeg93F5FCC7-BF2C-4EF7-BE34-8309B9D9FBDF.jpeg
Bottom of the stand is covered with plastidip
For waterproofing it works great and leaves the surface with a rubberized finish.
Where’s me and Adam drilling the tank. 546BDAC5-BD3D-4462-A7F7-E96312A0A365.jpeg8C78EB91-E006-4FF5-9DD0-0DD5643561ED.jpeg93F5FCC7-BF2C-4EF7-BE34-8309B9D9FBDF.jpeg047CD39A-5A44-4CFE-BF77-C3709C4E4876.jpeg1276C634-B960-4154-A5B8-ECB1325066AA.jpegD7294EA6-90D4-4A52-B5EA-1BA9D97D1DB9.jpeg98E00C3A-04C6-4D11-A869-F091FB103287.jpeg546BDAC5-BD3D-4462-A7F7-E96312A0A365.jpeg8C78EB91-E006-4FF5-9DD0-0DD5643561ED.jpeg93F5FCC7-BF2C-4EF7-BE34-8309B9D9FBDF.jpeg047CD39A-5A44-4CFE-BF77-C3709C4E4876.jpeg1276C634-B960-4154-A5B8-ECB1325066AA.jpegD7294EA6-90D4-4A52-B5EA-1BA9D97D1DB9.jpeg98E00C3A-04C6-4D11-A869-F091FB103287.jpeg546BDAC5-BD3D-4462-A7F7-E96312A0A365.jpeg8C78EB91-E006-4FF5-9DD0-0DD5643561ED.jpeg93F5FCC7-BF2C-4EF7-BE34-8309B9D9FBDF.jpeg047CD39A-5A44-4CFE-BF77-C3709C4E4876.jpeg1276C634-B960-4154-A5B8-ECB1325066AA.jpegD7294EA6-90D4-4A52-B5EA-1BA9D97D1DB9.jpeg

Got the water in on Friday night and Edwin came over on Saturday for the switch. It was a crazy day but all seemed to go well.
we had to finish the plumbing. Build and install light bar and build electronics box.

We had to move the returns over to allow space for the MP40s didn’t think about them when I first did the plumbing

since there is no computer controlling the tank this is all there is.

Love the scape! I never had a sump so excuse me if I ask a stupid question. On your returns you have a blue and red valve. Is that because you are using one pump and need to regulate the flow on the returns?
Please remember to give a review on the Jebao doser! I still dose by hand each day

Color doesn’t mean anything just what they had. But yes I have flow control over the returns that way. My manifold has no valve for return so I put one on each return. And yes they both come from a single manifold.
