Well, it's nap time for the kids, wind is howling here in hillsborough and I am doing a mental note of what the tree guys need to take this march! I guess that's what you get for having woods for neighbors! Alass I digress.
I know I have seen and been warned of the aggressiveness of some corals. Well, I got a gumdrop chalice from Dr Mac about 5 months ago. Some would have called it a boogersnot sized frag....I say dime sized. Well 5 months later and it is silver dollar sized and putting out new eyes like no tomorrow. Have seen some of its sweepers at night, no big deal at most 2 inches. Well....6 inches down stream I have the pink lemonade acro. I noticed 2 pinpoints of dead spots on the encrusting plug. Well last night I found out why, the sweepers on the chalice are over 6 inches long!! Now I realize 2 days ago I accidentally tipped it and broke an edge (chalice) I guess I really got it ticked. I am just stunned by the length of those sweepers!!
Yes, I moved the lemonade and while the storm is on I, like red fish blue fish ( also being Irish) am enjoying my bourbon on ice! Cheers, and like a Dos equi commercial " stay thirsty my friends". Be safe to all!
