Diana, that is one reason I get up about 5:00 every morning. I go on my walk then come back and start building something or just
designing. The designing takes far more time than building.
I keep pencils around and in my car for when an inspiration hits me so I can draw it. If Dale is cooking or on the phone and doesn't need me right away, I am in my Man cave "working" on something. Our house is full of drawers and compartments that automatically appear out of walls and disappear. Some of our upper cabinets come out and automatically and come down so they are reachable.
Our living room is full of my projects like this fireplace and table from a wooden slab. That fireplace and the entire structure is on rollers so I can pull it out
(not very easy) to paint and that wood slab table has lights under it that I can change color.
I would build something every day but we have no more room for my creations. I sold many of them but I feel bad when I do as I like them all.
This root washed up on the back of my Daughters house on the Hudson River. I couldn't resist and had to build a table out of it.
I also built all my Christmas decorations as I don't like Chinese plastic things.
I built this bedroom wall out of wood I found in a dumpster. I also built the bed which looks like a 6" wood slab with 12" wheels on it.
My problem is that I have too many hobbies and don't have the time for all of them. Here are some of my old pieces that sold. I sold 40 of them.
Of course I also like to cook and bake, which Dale appreciates
