I'd just use some of your DT's water when you do a WC. I wouldn't use tap water for anything, except rinsing out containers.

It is usually not advisable to use straight tap water as your local water company will treat water differently depending on conditions and or maintenance schedules. Even for fish I would not risk using tap water even if I used a dechlorinator.

x2 on spare tank water. it wont have any Ammonia, nitrite, and very little nitrate anyways. it'll only lack calc, etc.
