It is a Halichoeres argus [Argus wrasse]. Only comes out from like 9 to 5 for some reason and does work on some of the snails each morning. I don't know why but he eats them a lot. He destroyed my snail population in 2 days haha!

Yeah I guess it seems like a algae bloom. Im going to try to starve the algae by changing GFO every 2-3 days. Hopefully that works. And yeah the Vermetid snails are annoying... populated my tank in less than a month and now there everywhere. Always stabs my hand when I fixing rocks :/ have 2...

I do have a lot of Vermetid snails but would they be able to get there stringy stuff everywhere ??

Maybe like 4 months ago it looked like it had very very small air bubbles on it but not anymore. It is just stringy and white. Plus i think the air bubbles came from my sump which is why it might have stuck to it. It brushes off when i run my finger over it

I would just get the Natureef system if I were you. Its a big investment but if you are going too down the line might as well get it now. I wouldn't waste the money for the Controller / Pumps/ Maintenance if you know your want the Natureef later. Unless you are going to be doing a DIY system...

Im running some random 6500k T5 freshwater bulb on my refug. I had it from my freshwater tank so decided to move it over. Was planning on upgrading it, but my Cheato is growing out of control I run it for 10 hours a day. Growing macro algae doesn't need high quality lighting like leds. IMO

I keep mine from 78.3 - 79.3 in winter and around 79-80 in the summer. Depends on the day mostly.

I am running carbon and going to try keeping up with 20g water changes every week. Hopefully that keeps everything looking good and hopefully adds enough calcium and alk to make me not dose anything :encouragement:

Yeah I was thinking about bumping up my water changes to 10 gallons every week or 25 every 2 weeks. I usually make a bucket of 25 gallons of saltwater, so Im still debating if 10 gallons every week is better then once every 2 weeks. I will also try the 5 gallons twice for this week and the next...
