It is a Halichoeres argus [Argus wrasse]. Only comes out from like 9 to 5 for some reason and does work on some of the snails each morning. I don't know why but he eats them a lot. He destroyed my snail population in 2 days haha!

Maybe like 4 months ago it looked like it had very very small air bubbles on it but not anymore. It is just stringy and white. Plus i think the air bubbles came from my sump which is why it might have stuck to it. It brushes off when i run my finger over it

I would just get the Natureef system if I were you. Its a big investment but if you are going too down the line might as well get it now. I wouldn't waste the money for the Controller / Pumps/ Maintenance if you know your want the Natureef later. Unless you are going to be doing a DIY system...

Im running some random 6500k T5 freshwater bulb on my refug. I had it from my freshwater tank so decided to move it over. Was planning on upgrading it, but my Cheato is growing out of control I run it for 10 hours a day. Growing macro algae doesn't need high quality lighting like leds. IMO

I keep mine from 78.3 - 79.3 in winter and around 79-80 in the summer. Depends on the day mostly.

I am running carbon and going to try keeping up with 20g water changes every week. Hopefully that keeps everything looking good and hopefully adds enough calcium and alk to make me not dose anything :encouragement:

Yeah I was thinking about bumping up my water changes to 10 gallons every week or 25 every 2 weeks. I usually make a bucket of 25 gallons of saltwater, so Im still debating if 10 gallons every week is better then once every 2 weeks. I will also try the 5 gallons twice for this week and the next...

If you could I would probably do a DIY sump. If you have room you can always go for big plastic containers and just plum them together and have a huge refugium or whatever you want to throw in there. I regret not doing that since I could have had a bigger sump and added more water volume...

Yup, looks like a sponge to me. I use to try to remove them from my sump because they got pretty big, but then I just gave up because I would take one out and then I would get two more. They just seem to reproduce very fast in my tank
