Can these b synced if u have multiple units so u can put one opposing the other or they don't do that? I know there is a reverse mode but I think if u have it aimed across the surface , when it goes into reverse it would really disturb the sand below it

I use to do this. I would dump some buckets of tap water in when I was done for piece of mind because the sump didn't run often and I didn't want it sitting in the saltwater

When i say dry rock i mean a rock that has been out of the water long enough for everything to die and basically u just have the rock left, no sign of anything dead on or in it. So this would be ok to add to the tank.

dry rock is dry rock. Has nothing living in or on it so i would go with the cheapest u can find, Unless u have a certain look u want. u have to cycle it. If u were looking for live rock it would b a different story.

I read that. On page 18 he tells u they messed up on some of the clock settings so they r sending out replacement LCD screens and have corrected the problem

I heard about the Time issue in another thread. But that guy said it was just because when u unplug them or they lose power , u have to reset the clock. Did u hear anything different?

Anyone try these? They have 1 coming in that has an lcd screen on the light u controll it right from that. Think its 299, was thinking of trying it. Has multicolor led, white, 2 blues, green, red, 2 purples. Anyone c them in action?
