Edwin has said it....this is just the initial dose to adjust from 400 to 420....which is easiest to do manually. I personally have no problem with 400. But if you do want to adjust up to 420, I'd suggest dosing half that volume, and then testing. I've found these calculators to be funky....maybe because we don't do a good job in guessing our total tank volume. Once you've add this first "half," adjust the second dose accordingly.

Again, as Edwin stated, you then need to determine your daily consumption. I did this by picking a number (for your tank, I would start out dosing 200 mls per day). Then I'd test daily to see if I needed to adjust the volume up or down.

I too have BRS pumps (1.1 mls per minute), which I control with a Reefkeeper. If you have a controller that controls to the second, you might wish to consider the 50 ml per minute pumps they sell, since you're dosing bookoo amounts.

Been testing using a couple year old set of salifert test kits. I picked up calc and alk kit by royal nature at the hidden reef tonight. Old salifert kit reads 7.3 on alk new royal nature is 8.0. I wonder which it more correct. The two part dosers are now running on the aquacontroller. Been adding a total of 40 Mls of calc and alk per day. Plus dripping Kalk. Calcium with the new kit is 400

Tested the water today

Alk 6.6 dkh low for some reason it was 8.7 on Monday
Calcium 433
Mag 1320
Phosphate .07 had been .00 for the past week when I tested it the past 3 or 4 times.
Nitrate 0
Question is should I increase the two part from 40 Mls a day to 60 or more? Alk is low but Cal is higher than it has been.

I would take the calcium down 10 ml and increase the alk 10ml. Your probably dosing too much calcium which is depressing your alk. I would also test each parameter every day after the adjustment to make sure they fall in line where you want them...

Thanks guys. I just changed the AquaController. I'm also dripping Kalk
If Time > 10:45 Then CAL ON
If Time > 11:00 Then CAL OFF
If Time > 23:35 Then CAL ON
If Time > 23:50 Then CAL OFF

If Time > 22:00 Then ALK ON
If Time > 22:25 Then ALK OFF
If Time > 10:00 Then ALK ON
If Time > 10:25 Then ALK OFF

This is exactly why I hate the Neptune. Why be restricted to if then statements? My algorithm for my dosing schedule with my reef angel is literally one line. Turns on my pump for x minutes per every hour. But the Neptune does look better and has a better app.

Do you need to even dose kalk? I would focus on alk and cal first, see what your coral load/consumption is. Right now you (if I'm correct do not have a lot of hard corals) may not need to do any kalk for some time. I also think if you raise your mag a tad it will also help to keep params more even keel. IMO
