The board and volunteers deserve kudos for the frag swap. The turnout couldn't have been better and from the looks of it everything went off without a hitch. Great speakers, great vendors, great people. Can't beat it. Out of curiosity what was the final headcount.
Eric Borneman is a brilliant scientist as well as an extremely knowledgeable hobbyist. He'll be back on the 120 Gallons podcast this Sunday 10/28 at 8 pm EST live! So after you recover from the frag swap on Saturday, and enjoy some football, why not come by and listen at...
Currently I gravity feed my Koralin calcium reactor, but want to switch to a pump to stop the issues with a bubble forming. Can anyone recommend a good pump for this purpose?
Tonight is 120 gallons first live podcast. Come on by and have a listen and if your up for it, call in and share a story.

8 pm est.
We're going to be talking about the mistakes we've made along the journey of reefkeeping so others can learn from us.
Anyone have issues with humidity in their residence due to their reef keeping addiction, I mean hobby? How did you handle it? I live in a newer townhouse which is fairly air tight and hence the problem, plus with a large open sump in the basement, I can get enough humidity in my basement to...
I've been slowly raising my orp and tonight it was up to 365 and I noticed my ph has dropped below 7.8 to 7.66. I throttled the ozone back a little for now.
Any suggestions on raising the ph?
For those who are interested I just posted the latest episode of 120 Gallons which features an interview with Eric Borneman on coral breeding.
He'll be back on October 28th live at 8pm EST for anyone to listen and ask him questions.
I recently added ozone to my setup.
My question is do folks think it is possible for ozone to increase the clarity of the water such and extent to increase lighting effects where a coral might now be getting too much lighting? All my corals look better with ozone that without except one. I think...
Anyone use ozone with an ASM skimmer? I am attempting to using a T fitting on the air intake, but I get the smell of residual ozone in the air. Am I better off getting a cheap second skimmer to run the ozone? If so any recommendations?
The Korallin calcium reactor doesn't have a ph port. What's the best way to hook up a controller to control the co2 solenoid? I can get a replacement cover that has a ph probe opening if there is no alternative.
My take on it was the new double ended wavemaker setup from Rio/Seio/Taam...can't wait until it comes out. I got an interview from the guy at the booth. Basically they are finishing up the magnet mount and it should be available soon.
So other than the knowledge from the great speakers what other goodies did people bring back?
I'll post pictures later of my orange plate, orange zoos, lobo and coco worm.
I also picked up a lighthouse controller and some other goodies.
I was like a kid in a candy store. So much for my budget...
Includes info about the NJ Reefers Frag Swap, Reef News, an interview about Phil Jone's 180 gallon tank, the bicolor parrotfish, bubble coral, temperature control and an ATO update.

Here's an article from my blog at www.120gallons.com that I figured would be helpful to folks here.
With the still rampant use of cyanide in fish collection, as well as the difficulty of sometimes visibly determining that a fish is sick here are some tips to help improve your odds of bringing...
