It looks like you epoxied the clam into place, what was the reasoning for that? Most folks just let the clam attach themselves to the rock. Not sure of the epoxy will have an adverse effect of the clams foot or not.

Be sure to keep a close eye on your PH if you are dosing vinegar. Since it is an acid it will drop your PH. As far as dosage, I have no clue.

Actually, 8 weeks is the minimum time to leave your tank fallow after an ich outbreak. 10-12 weeks is a better bet though.

Catalina gobies are a cool water fish and don't live long at reef temperatures. They needs to be kept in the 68F-74F temperature range.

Not a problem. Your rocks are brewing away and should be ready to go in a few weeks. I threw a couple of my sponge filters in along with a bottle of bacteria starter in with it to get things jump started. I'll let that go for a few days then I'll stick a heater in and crank it up to really get...

Actually there are plenty of products out there that will instantly cycle a tank. Of course they are not cost effective for the average hobbiest but aquaculture facilities use them all the time.

You can always pull the standpipe and catch him out of the sump.

Thanks, Al. It has been 2 years in the making and is still a work in progress. For an idea as to the size, the towers are 16"x16"x6' tall and weigh around 2,000 lbs each. The steel between them is a 4' long piece that came from TWC.

You have to check the box at the bottom of the PM that says "save copy to my sent folder". The default setting is to not save a copy.
