it has 60 degree optics. im sure it would void the warranty if he tried to change them. i think if u bought one more fixture and staggered them, you would be fine
from the toys in his garage and the size of his house, not to mention the tank and equipment itself, i dont think he worries about his electric bill! LOL
awesome!!! started to thin out the rock work last night, gonna continue today. and start getting the leftover coral cut. hopefully by wed i can start treating the rock that the clam is on.
oh, and there is a mod for the nac7. which i plan on doing, even though it pulls out some nasty s**t as is, but it seems this mod makes the skimmer even more beastly!
I am currently running a bubble magus nac7 cone skimmer. i will never buy another skimmer! dead silent! i mean when i plugged it in i had to look at it to make sure it was running. it pulls some nasty stuff!! all around great skimmer, and the price is perfect!
well after the damn zapper i borrowed unleashed its havoc on my tank, it got so god awfully ugly i just really stopped doing anything to the tank. which i know is just the wrong thing to do. but it happened, its in the past, and now time to make it even better than before!

well, hair algae is not a good thing. u should test for phosphates and nitrates. also how much are u feeding the tank, this can cause a spike in nitrates, which can lead to the algae. reducing the amount of light can help also.
well i just found this thread and seems matt beat me to it!! its amazing! we spent countless hours on the project! i have to say matt was a huge help!! he stepped up and was there with us every night!

add to what the pres said...to help with the bleaching factor, you could use dimmable drivers and start off with the leds on a lower setting. this helps a lot. you can also save a lot of money building the led array your self. which i beleive is better cause you can come up with the color...
