i just set up my first reef tank about a month or so ago it's a 140 gallon system. So far so good although my ph is a bit low 8.14 and i think it is due to my calcium reactor i keep the effluent at 6.4 should i be using kalk to bring it back up. if so how due i go about using it?

i am using seachem test kits and a refractometer when i get home tonight i will retake tests and re calibrate refracto

I'm pretty new to the hobby and just set up my first reef tank ever it is a 140 gallon. And i'm just wondering if there are any species of sharks i can keep that won't eat my inverts, coral and other fish?

My feed pipe to my sump keeps "burping" i think air is getting caught up somewhere i have two 90 deg. fittings in the line and i think that is one of the causes. i am thinking of drilling a hole right before the elbows and sticking airline tubing in there to provide a place for the air to bleed...
