Were you actually reading the debate? I added this post to prove a point; anemones do catch and eat fish. I would hope people actually read about the livestock they keep and not getting educated by the simplest of definitions.
BTA Anemone are strange and can act just the same. Typically they will go from bulb tentacles to elongated tentacles when hungry. Lighting is very important and I wouldn’t go less than 5watts per gallon.

The overflow of water leads to your sump which can be used to house a skimmer etc? In modern reef tanks, the Berlin system is a commonly used. This requires live rock for biological filtration with the use of a good protein skimmer.
I would bite the bullet on this one and buy local cured rock unless you have a room to cure like a garage, as mentioned earlier way smelly man. I don’t think I will ever forget that smell. I know you're going to pay more but it’s only a few pounds.

SPS corals really extend when the lights go out. However my sps corals have polyp extension all the time with crazy extension at night. Maybe the water change perked them up?
