Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Use an auto top off. It will drain into your sump when it hits a certain level and turn off if it drops below a level. JBJ has a real nice system, which I just bought. Works great.
Suck up as possible of the stuff in the troublesome area. Then do 20 - 30% water change Repeat in a 5 -7 days if it comes back again. Sounds like to much proteins in the water. Don't over feed as this is a large possible cause of the problem. I have done this method and it works every time...
Some powerhead you can add a filter to the bottom of the intake. This is basically a cage to add the filter pad in it. I keep the cage on the power head with out the filter all the time to keep anything and everything from getting sucked in.

I guess my parents were crazy we used bleach (Might as weel have been hydrochloric acid) to get rid of poison ivy. Once the foaming and the pain went away everything was good. Even though my therapist still asks for me to vist 4 days week to discuss the situation.
Hey guys I am thinking of getting a Korallin BioDenitrator S-1502. Apparently its got some cool features and the ratings are very good. Does anyone have one they can tell me their experience of it and how it works, or doesn't.

Yes I have used the Pura Phoslock. It works well, except after a while it will leach the phosphate back into the tank if left to long in the sump or filter.
Keep in mind all triggers have been known to be lumped into "not reef safe". Its just some people had better experiences with blue throats and so forth. Many have been found not to be reef safe. So always use caution when introducing a trigger, even if they are recommended by others.....
