Well, the 15gal. is up and running. have somewhere between 7-8 gal running through a 10gal. sump. Right now, only have 6lbs. of rock, but I hand picked it from my store and has a TON of growth on it lol!
Here is a few pics of my livestock.

My Sebae Anenome...
Is the anenome browning? If so, some anenomes, I think sebae is one of them, are capable of having the same symbiotic algae as coral. A lot of importers treat the anenomes to get rid of this algae but in some cases, it grows back...
10k is on the white side, very bright and gives good growth.
20k is blue, not as much as say antinics, but helps out for color popping, has slower growth then a 10k. Some people say it is "brighter" meaning the colors in the tank pop out more then with 10k.
14k to me is like having a PC 50/50...
I have been in the Petco by me and the had "Tank raised" True Perculas for $18!!! At that price, it is VERY doubtful they are tank raised. Even at wholesale price $18 is decent for a tank raised. Just be very careful as to how they mark their tanks.
No problem. If you need help finding any paticular species, let me know. We go and select our fish every Tuesday. I can put in a request to get what ever you need.
If you were going to do that, I would do what you said or run a 65 watt 10k, a 50/50 and the T-8 antinic this way you have a bit of a balance for growth and color.
Hay Candi, I have a really nice, friendly Porcupine Puffer in my store that someone brought in to us. He is very healthy, eats like a horse, and even puffs up for no apparent reason! He is also always smiling, no really, he smiles, its the funniest thing. I also have 2 dogface Puffers, 1 is a...
Try moving them down further in the tank. It sound like the starting steps of bleaching. Thats a big light change you put in there and they are probably getting a suntan.
In my store, we have a Green Acropora and a Stag Horn growing nicely in a 10 gal. cube that has two 24 watt PCs in it. The growth is slow, but the color is real nice on them. Both bulbs are 50/50s.
Just my opinion, but I think you are a little underpowered. You could do what I had posted a...
Look for hammer coral or torch coral. Both are anenome-like and I have seen clowns host up in them. OH, I have also seen clowns host up in bubble corals.
PCs have better penetration then T-5 fluorescent but T-5 can get brighter due to the single reflectors. If the tank is under the 24" MH range, I feel that the proper bulb frequency <10k, 14k, 20k, etc> is more important then PAR value being that all bulbs are basicly equal in the more shallow...
If you calculate 18 ft. of head pressure, I would look for a pump that delivers a minimum of 3000 gph at 18ft. Give yourself a buffer zone, you can always redirect the flow back to the sump. Plus you never know, some new thing may come out and you will want to add it to your system.
Looks a lot like Merv's, check it out in DIY section.
As a side note, do not forget that all of those small branches will reduce your flow to the tank, I usually count every branch as a foot of pressure.
My boss said he just throws in a sand-sifting starfish <$10> and the shrimp feasts away. He needs one about every 3 weeks or so. I was just concerned about starfish bits floating around throwing my ammy/nitrite/nitrates off keester.
I am thinking about getting a H. Shrimp just because they are very cool to watch and I am not putting any fish in my little tank. So before I do this, does anyone have one who can answer this question for me.
Have you found that while the shrimp is feeding your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels...
Sorry, I misread. I was thinking growth not color, rather tired lately, baby is teething in a molar.... Phyl is right, with all the blue the color should be popping. I do not think it is the lighting, it is appropriate for the size tank.
How old are your VHOs? VHO looses its intensity very quickly compared to normal fluorescent bulbs. Could be your antinics are nothing more then blue lights...
Also, 20k and antinics....that is a LOT of blue in your tank. Ever think about using some white <10k> in your tank for growth? If you...
