A friend of mine from work is breaking down his small setup (20g biocube I think) He's looking for someone to come pickup his livestock, but he's keeping the equipment.
Here's the note he sent me.
I have one Ocellaris clown, a pistol shrimp/Tasha haze goby pair and a Catlina goby (I realize...
I just hate those days when you come home from a trip, excited to see your tank and try to find all the little changes since you were gone, only to find one of your oldest and dearest aquatic friends on the floor :(
My 5 year old engineer goby jumped sometime while I was away on a business...
I have some brown button polyps that looked like that when I found them (they were also buried under the sand). I'll try to remember to snap a picture of what they look like now.
I have a friend at work who is looking to drill his tank at home. He needs a 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" diamond hole saw. Does anyone have one to lend? He lives in Bayonne, and we work in Millburn.
Thanks
Brett
I'm thinking about starting a culture of copepods. I've read that you can pretty easily culture the Tigger Pods from reef nutrition. Has anyone tried this before? Any luck or advice?

In addition to all of that, you can pollinate an indoor fruiting plant by hand. Just gently shaking the pepper plant should bring out enough pollen to get to the other flowers. I've had lots of luck with indoor pepper plants, but I always had them under grow lights.

Had a great time there today, and caught some very nice feedings esp the spiny lobsters. Once again a very worthwhile trip. I'm glad it hasn't gone down hill at all since I was last there.
I've got a trip planned to the Adventure aquarium with some friends on Monday and I was wondering if anyone had been there recently and their thoughts? I was there about 3 years ago and really enjoyed it.
Thanks

John, the previous owner of Underwater World in Roselle Park retired. I was afraid the store was closed when I drove by and saw all the tanks gone and the windows uncovered. Turns out 2 gentlemen who's names I can't recall have taken it over and given the store a great new face lift. They're...
I can't truely be certain, but the shells are long like the ceriths, not tall. We'll just have to wait and see i suppose. I had my fancy nassarius snails laying eggs on the substrate as well, and in an empty astrea shell. all about the wait and see
My Cerith's eggs hatched, but I think they're the ones they laid in the sand, not on the glass, but i don't really know. I do know i have lots of baby snails when i turn the lights off
My cerith snails went on a spawning spree a couple of months ago. Now I have little white cones moving everywhere once the lights shut off. I'm just wondering how long till I have to start selling ceriths :0) Always a good sign when the critters start to breed.
I need to replace the MH lamp on my lighting fixture. It's a 250w DE and I'm curious if anyone has any opinions on bulbs. I like a bright look that will also still make the fluorescents pop a little 12K, 14K?? I'm looking at XM, Hamilton, and Ushio's. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brett
