I'd agree unless you're washing it daily and even then probably isn't doing really anything for you, and for the love of reefing, I want to see a background on the tank... blue, black, heck even the faux underwater reef shot hehee

Sure hope he/she makes it, very easy for predators to spot etc.
I'm in absolute tears reading this, I'm so sorry for the roller coaster poor little Maddie and your entire family are on. You are all in my families prayers. I'm sure it goes without saying for all of us here, if there is anything we can do please let us know. HUGS!
I've been waiting to reply to this thread until I felt I waited enough time to be a fair judge. As I said in a previous post just about all the fish I have in my 3 reef tanks are from NYaquatic and I've been more then happy with my purchases and experiences. From the awesome prices, great...
Thanks guys! I'm really enjoying this tank now, I really like my first two gobies but having the yasha out and swimming around all the time really brings color/movement/life to the tank. Will have to sell some fish stuff from the garage and get some more corals for the tank to add more color.
Time for a very long awaited update... it's been almost 2 months (opps :-X )
Sadly my beautiful yellowheaded jawfish didn't make it. She had been doing better, gaining confidence and hanging outside of her tunnel doorway, eating well etc... then I realized I hadn't seen her for 24+ hours. Ended...
I also just use a brute trash can, however that's what I use when mixing up for a water change (RODI directly into it, mix in it) for storage of RODI water I just use the 8g water containers from the camping section at Walmart, although darn heavy I prefer them over the 5g since they have a easy...
I love my green banded goby as well, my first one was my first saltwater fish... purchased him at full grown and he passed away several months ago (so I had him about 2 1/2yrs) I'm assuming it was natural causes as he was eating fine that morning and then was at the bottom of the tank looking...
Re: 30 Gallon Adventure:
I see it now! It's a little guy, it's hard to tell from the photo but it appears to be open so no worries. It'll grow and will then either branch itself from one head into two and/or also start growing tiny new heads off the base. Got your email and will reply later...
Looking good! Where is the little hammer? I didn't see it, it's a very young/new head so it'll take some time to grow but you should still see it opening up with the purple & green fleshy parts... if its not opening where you have it try a different place. Its not super easy to tell from the...
The hammer & frogspawn should be open tomorrow, the gsp might take take a couple days since I tore it off the piece in my tank and the palys might also take some time to perk up since I scraped them off the overflow...FYI they like light, a ton of light so put them at the top. Oh and the gsp can...
Glad it's happy!
Forgot to mention if you need any assistance with a screened top, or just want to see one in person let me know, I made one for my 70g.... cheap and pretty easy (metal screen trim from Lowes cut to size and then I used netting from a fabric store which for me was cheaper &...
Thanks Ryan it was a pleasure to meet you guys as well, sorry about the doggie slobber! I'm not sure if you noticed all the hammer in my 70g? I fragged my biggest one this past week to sell to someone here, anyways I ended up with a few smaller frags to (couple heads) let me know if you're...
I'd assume a dogface would eat any/all snails & hermits, along with any shrimp or other types of crabs... for a puffer tank the cleaning crew is usually very small, just one... YOU lol
I'd recommend www.thepufferforum.com for lots of puffer owners who can give you better first hand experience...
