Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Bill I can't help you out, but I'd recommend more information... what do you think is happening to them? What symptoms are they showing? Can you see if you can buy/borrow some sort of large tub to use as a hospital tank if you don't have an actual tank.
Good luck
case in point, I realized last night I hadn't seen one of mine all day... by 3pm today I was feeding Rod's Reef (which no fish misses out on) and still no sign.... so I got out the flashlight and sure enough she was in the rear of my aquapod. Eventually after trying to squeeze a net and my hand...
I appreciate everyone's posts, I was planning to place an order as soon as a fish I've been waiting for came in stock again but now I think I'll look elsewhere, sounds like maybe there has been some sort of change since my last order... or I had a very lucky streak.
one important question, is this an open top tank? They are jumpers... he could have easily jumped out, from time to time I see/hear mine hit the top of my aquapod hood for no apparent reason. If its sealed and you're sure he didn't jump out (they can flop a ways, and pets can eat them) then give...
tsk tsk tsk aren't you making up your water change water at least 12-24 hours in advance, with a powerhead & heater and then checking salinity before you start draining any water out?
Wow I'm really shocked at these posts, I don't doubt your experiences as I've never met Michael in person or gone to see him however I've placed 8 orders with him since July '07 online (just for myself, small orders) only DIA I ever had was a pistol shrimp and a seahare I received an instant...
Thanks everyone for the offers etc, thankfully I found some near my house today so I'm all set to do my first dip shortly (FYI for anyone in the area who might need it, I got it at Petland on Rt 35 & Poole)
Wish me luck, I just saw that some of the zoas in my 70g also have it... UGH... must...
Ugh... I decided when I set up my 8g biocube it would be a zoa tank (since I lost all almost all of mine in my aquapod when I grew out the toadstools) I purchased a few frags, moved a couple that were in my 70g... things were going well then I realized one frag wasn't opening much, the tank is...
Looking great! I'll PM you when I finally get a chance too but my offer for some corals still stands if you guys make it up this way one day/weekend. I have hammer, frogspawn, and a tiny neon green toadstool (grows pretty quick) for you and probably some palys/zoas too. My daughter loves to show...
We were using the Chicken Soup foods and were happy with them, but it was a tad of a PIA to drive to the only local place that sold them to get them... I ended up switching to Blue Buffalo brand for both of our dogs and our cat, no complaints at all and Petco carries it now. My cat looks the...
So are you guys expecting much of a cycle? I'm assuming you didn't have the rock out of water very long and shouldn't really see much if any of a cycle.
Very neat, do you have a link to name/info on it? I personally think it's to small for a goby/shrimp pair... but what about a single clown goby or something like a green banded goby... I adore mine and they are pretty personable in my experience with neat coloration.
Can anyone tell me of a place near Middletown that sells it? (I'm in Port Monmouth 07758) need it to reseal a skimmer and would rather not have to pay shipping for a small tube.
Thanks!
Yippie it's starting! How live is your rock, notice anything creeping around yet (check at night after the lights are off with a flashlight)? You'll likely be amazed at how many hours you'll find yourself sitting and staring into a "empty" tank LOL
Thanks for the info and links everyone. My tanks are all reefs, my 24g aquapod is softies (mostly rics right now since I lost my zoas growing out all the toadstools, and still 3 larger toadstools and more smaller ones growing) my 70g is a mixed reef... this is the one with very little coralline...
Hi Everyone
I've never dosed anything in my tanks, just maintained them with weekly 20% water changes, while things have gone well I'd like to have them go better, very little coralline in my 70g I'm assuming as the corals are using any available calcium.
I've love any basic info, as I really...
LOL @ "upgrade" this is my last little tank for awhile, 70g & 24g are downstairs and this is my little upstairs tank.
So I went up after posting to see if he hopped out of the secret hiding place only to find him hopping around the display, cursed little critter got himself free (still not...
AAARRGGHHHHH :::screams every swear word she knows:::
Decided to pull the rock to get the jawfish (who keeps digging and knocking everything down) into the tunnel. So I drain out a gallon into a container, start pulling the rock... get almost all out and the two gobies (who I saw a min ago)...
pictures wouldn't be to exciting, they are never seen at the same time since the firefish simple either dashes in or out of the hole and mr. pistol peeks out before/after. Though I can try to get some later today when the lights go on.
