i'm in middletown, but i go to trop/ultimate reefs all the time. The actual dimension of the standard o-ring for 10inch RODI system would work too. I'm looking at amazon and they have like a million different sizes, and if i order a couple it's not too bad price wise with free shipping.

What size sed filter are you using? Are you running cold water/hot water through system? Have you just checked to see if the water is cloudy from your tap?(take a glass cup and pour yourself a cup of tap water.) if that cup isn't cloudy, then it must be something in your RODI that's causing it.

I think with this kind of weather, your probably ok with that, but you need to find some way to keep the water circulating. I think i saw that if no movement 5hrs is when things start dying...(could be wrong)

Yea i'll prob get it tested at my lfs later this week. And in terms of flow it's literally 2 ft from where my powerhead is directed towards. i can see the algae blowing in 1 direction.

Lol yea larger snails tend to work nicely :-P, but i always put a bunch of larger empty shells in attempt to save my larger snails, and it has seemed to do ok... minus a couple of my tongan nass.

From what i've read, the costco memory foam matresses(nova foam i think it's called) are very similar quality to the really expensive brands, and they only cost like 500 when on sale. I'd look into those if you wanted to save a bit. Otherwise i don't think there's a better brand then temper-pedic.
