I almost went with the D tang, but I already had a purple, so I thought there would be issues. My Purple bugged my Foxface for the first couple of days, but have seemed to have reached a truce. Maybe him sticking his fins up at him got the message accross! :)
I can't believe it. I went to Petco today to get dog treats and they were selling a Bat Fish. They really shouldn't be selling advanced fish. Their staff are nice enough but most of them know nothing about SaltWater fish. I can just see someone throwing this in a Nano! Anyway, just my .02.
Well after trying all kinds of things, I finally introduced a algae eating fool into my tank. After trying lots of emerald crabs and manual removal, I bought a Fox Face. He has decimated my bubble algae in just a couple of days. Of course maybe I just got lucky. I so happy I would kiss him if he...
Nope, The new law says the federal Government agencies will not pursue charges against people who are in possession/growing/using medical pot if it is deemed to be legal in their state. Like California. Sorry, you're still screwed in most states.
One of my neighbors got busted for growing. I think the thing that got them is that they were in what looked like a crack house. I live two houses away and have my display tank upstairs and no one has ever asked about it, but most of my neighbors know I have fish. If the police asked, I would...
I don't think it matters much, but I have the screw type and it works fine. I only use it like once a month so it's not like it gets bounced around a lot. And they are easy to calibrate.
Hey all, I want your opinions on this. I have an octopus skimmer and it works really well. I have a refugium with Caulerpa and my Nitrate levels are below 1.0 and my Caulerpa is starting to disappear. I'm starting to wonder if it would be better to just let the Caulerpa do its job and stop...
I really like Trop, but they seem to have a bubble algae problem. I got a piece from them a little over a year ago. After I had it In my tank for about two weeks I moved it and noticed the bubble algae. This weekend I spent three hours cleaning all of it out of my tank. And by all I mean All...
They are, but that I think I can fix those. My RO/DI unit was way over due for changing the filters. And I've had them but was too lazy and not testing for copper or silica. Anyway, those I understand, but I had no idea what to do about the Molybdenum. I just wish there were more accurate home...
I currently have a Coralife 1270 and would like to buy a spare for emergencies. I have my setup in the basement so noise is not an issue. I would like it to be more efficient than the Coralife. Thanks
I just got my test water back from AWT. The results follow:
Ammonia (NH3-4) ........................Good ....................... 0.002
Nitrite (NO2)...........................Good ....................... 0.017
Nitrate (NO3)...........................Good.........................1.4
Phosphate...
bmoney called it. I cleaned the pump and put a new power cord on it. The Pump is fine, so its not a Coralife failure. The plug had gotten salt creep and was fried. I have a GFI plugs above my sea level, but this one was on the wall and was an existing plug. The coralife has a short cord, so I...
