Was lying in bed and I heard my tank making a funny noise, went down stairs and the returns are blowing air. Went into the basement and found smoke and the remains of the Coralife 1270 pumps plug melted and burned. Not sure what happened, all I know is the breaker went and that probably saved...
Has anyone used these guys before? They used to sell on ebay, but now just use their website. I bought 10 "Emarald" crabs from them and at least half were Xanthids, To bad I didn't look more closely at them before I put them in my tank. I think I just caught the last one. (maybe) Really just a...
Does it move or is it stationary? If its stationary its probably a form of feather duster. I have dozens in my refugium. They don't seem to bother anything. If it is moving around, then I am not sure.
They are interesting, but I don't know why anyone would want to take a chance with one. Especially with their inclination to escape from their tank. But they won't chase you around the room or anything! ;) They are aggressive and will go after you if it gets a chance. Anyway, you'd have to be a...

Thanks
I would get him out of the tank, and treat him. Give him a fresh water dip and treat him for atleast ten days before he goes back in the main tank. If you can't catch him, there are treatments for the main tank, but I would hesitate to do that. I haven't tried kick ick but it might help, I just...
I have a Current Extreme 48" x 8 T5 light. I'm very happy with it, but the fans are kind of noisy. Since I have everything else plumbed in the basement, they are the only thing I hear. Any one have any fixes or suggestions? Maybe replacement fans or running them at a slower speed!?!?!
Thanks
