thats strange, what size tank is it and what is the bioload. It could also be something within the tank leaching nutrients?
I have one on my freshwater tank and its really a trooper. They are probably one the best canister filters out there.

steve at aqua oceans just sold me one and ive had it for about a week. So far so good and its been moving around quite a bit lately. ive read that they are really sensitive when you first acclimate em so you should probably spend a good three hours drip acclimating them to your tank.

I get it, it is a rarer coral and they take forever to grow, its nice looking but I've seen corals that cost 50 bucks that have deeper colors and are more attractive to the eye.
assuming that you are monitoring all your nutrient levels and they stay in perfect check, do you think it would be more benefical to do muultiple 10-15% water changes a week?
I know it would be time consuming and monotonous but when you think about it, the oceans currents bring fresh water on...
ok, yea theres about 30 lbs of LR and i have a large piece of hammer that im hoping a clownfish will host.
You dont think a young clown will get beat up by the sixline?
i have a flame angel and sixline wrasse in my 29gallon. Do you think it would be overstoking after adding a small clownfish to that? I would also have a full cleaning crew.
In addition, do you think that the sixline will harass the small nemo? If so I would be open to trading out the sixline...
