my calc uptake is about 20ppm per 2days, my alk is about 1dkh per 2 days

so if i set a timer at night for say 10 min with a slow drip would that be sufficient? i gues i would have to test the calcium level after this to tell if thats enough kalk??

ok, hirobo has me on a kalk mission. i want some info, i have so many questions floating around my head i hope i can get them all out! i am just wondering the best way to dose kalk. without gettin crazy and expensive. i was thinking about using a diy kalk resevoir. and dosing during the night...

looks like cyano to me. one thing, if its forming around the glass that much, you dont have enough flow. also, are you using ro water or tap? how long do you have your lights on? how much and how many times a week are you feeding? what are you feeding? these are all thing we need to know to help...
