Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I will probably go with the jager. Unless I can find a titanium heater with the same reliability as the jager. I am currently using an Aqueon Pro. I just want to replace it before it fails. From what I hear that is very common.
I should have mentioned that the heater has to go in the tank. I don't have any room in my sump. Not sure glass is safe? I remember an owner of a LFS in Manalapan was killed by a broken glass heater years ago.
Lets hope its coralline. I didn't know it could be black. Let me know if you can get a conclusive identification after viewing on a computer screen. Thank you very much.
I just did a water change. Phosphates and Nitrates were 0 prior to that. I tried to siphon some off but wouldn't budge. Its only on the rock closest to the bottom of the tank mostly where light is dim.
Thank you for the detailed account. I went to my Pay pall account and I do not have any payments set up for auto. I can even view my past transactions. It may be because I recently changes my email address on the account. Any suggestions? Should I just mail you a check?
So after my battle with hair algae and two months of a nice clean tank. I just notice what appears to be black algae on a few of my rocks. IS there such a thing? Sorry I haven't had a chance test the params yet. I will in the morning. Just wanted to throw this out there. here is an iphone pic...
If I ever get out your way I will stop by for sure. I really don,t want to loose the Tang. I actually see new growth on the rock that he was picking at. Lets see what the next few weeks bring.
Not sure this is the correct forum but any one tell me if we are notified when our membership needs to be renewed? Is it annually? How do we pay? Thanks.
Sorry for the typo
Really nice job. I love a nice woodworking project. You have inspired me to go in the garage and build something. Maybe a table. Lets see what kind of scraps I have laying around.
Its been exactly one year for me and I learned that with proper husbandry hair algae CAN be beat. The quick fixes don't really work. Time, care and patients is key. . +1 on the Chemistry classes.
