I had cablevision and the internet went down way too frequently. I switched to FIOS and I have to say the picture on my TV is way better and the upgraded internet is blazing fast compared to cablevision's boost plan.

The trunk on this toadstool is about 5" long. Can I cut about 2" from the bottom and then re glue it to the rock? The base of the trunk is looking thin and weak. I'd like to cut that out if possible. Or should I leave well enough alone?

+1 on the rat slab. I put a piece if 2x8 under the vertical supports.

I wouldn't really jack it up. Just snug the jacks up with a little pressure. You really don't want to move the beams. The supports between the joists are also a good precaution.

I had the same issue with my old 75 gallon. I put supports between the beams as well as vertical supports from joists to the floor of the crawlspace. Still had minimum shake when the kids were playing around but it was much more stable.

I have a 54. Gallon corner tank. I skim, run gfo and carbon. I do a 15 gallon water change every 2 weeks and have an ato running. I change my filter sock every week and occasionally add A&B. so far this has been working well.
