Yeah a few of us went to Hooters to watch it, I was rooting for Machida but he definatly did not win that. Atleast it looked like Dana White immediately ran in to Shogun and said some stuff to him. Glad we hung around a bit after to since they than showed that 6'11" guy fight.
That sort of sounds like where Petco is. Hidden Reef is easy to remember because they have the worst paved parking lot around, your car can literally be swallowed by the holes.
I'm setting up a tank for macro algae, shrimp, and maybe a few gobies, no corals. I'm just wondering what type of cheap lighting would work for this, do I want MH / T5 or can I do something cheaper? Also I'm assuming I don't need an incredible amount of flow? It's a 10 gallon triangle tank AIO...
I put 2 in for redundancy incase 1 fails and more importantly because my basement gets incredibly cold in the winter and I was afraid 1 wouldn't be enough.
I have a 75 gallon tank for my Oscar, Chester Cheeto. Basic setup, 2 aquarium lights from Home Depot, 2 AC110 filters, 2 300 watt Stealth Heaters. He's 2.5 years old and survived a jump out of the tank / I found him a few hours later on the carpet.
About 40 mins north of you is Allquatics in Hamilton, bit of a drive but from Marlton it's just Route 73 to 295 and you're basically there (exit 61). They post updates on when they get new selections in and they're usually decent, once stuff's been sitting for awhile it tends to get sad looking...
also check the little plastic screw inside the unit where the pump pumps in. I had mine going for a few months and was a bit disappointed with production, I than cleaned it w/ vinegar and water and played w/ the screw inside, after moving the screw some I got much better skimmate.
Does anyone have any experience in building concrete furniture or countertops? There are places that build beautiful countertops, table tops, furniture out of concrete & I'd like to build a stand that is basically skinned of concrete / made of it for a custom acrylic tank shaped like a triangle...
It's just got hanging compenents, Tek sells legs for them, they're on the semi expensive side for legs, like $50. I don't know if you could Diy some legs for it or not or maybe find some legs for sale online used or something. I'm in no rush to get rid of it so let me know.
I have a 6 bulb 36" Tek light that I bought off a member here on Sept 21st. I have never used it only fired it up to make sure it works. My 40 breeder which was it's intended use has been side lined for awhile. I'll sell it for $250 w/ the 6 Geissmann bulbs in it which is what I paid. Look at...
a 14's to small for a RBTA I'd stay away from it. I've read clowns will host just about anything, mine avoided my torches and just moved the sand out of teh corner of the tank and lived there. I think it's probably preferable they don't host your other coral as it can possibly damage the coral...
Ed's nearby and has good rock. Stay away from Allquatics in Hamilton, their rock is covered in Aiptasia. Another online source that get's rave reviews is sealifeinc.net When I do a large tank in the future I'll be ordering from them.
might want to go over to nano-reef.com and ask evil666, that guy does alot w/ Leds and if he see's a thread w/ LED questions he responds, see if he has any experience w/ them.
I don't feel so bad but still not sure it makes me any less aggravated at doing it :) I'm going to downgrade tank size for a bit, forgo the Ro/Di & just use bottled water from the supermarket. Not as ideal but for my piece of mind and ease I feel I need to do it this way for a bit. Parents have...
