Ed, would you suggest on getting one bigger pump to run tank return and skimmer or two smaller ones?

I think the general consensus is 5X GPH turnover. I want to move sump to the storage area behind where the tank is now and it is on the basement level. so the sump will be on the same level, just 10 feet to left where it is now. any preference on brands?

I am trying to decide on an external pump and have no idea how to pick/select correct one for my needs. is there a general rule how to pick the right pump for a system? for example: 300g tank - ..... pump 200g tank - ..... pump 100g tank - ..... pump ?? the system is on the same level so water...

I was under the impression that NEP has single individual reflectors for each bulb. are they different/better from TEK so much? I am in no possition to answer that question. Depending on the tank size I would look into 8 bulb set up rather than 6 to obtain greater spectrum of possible bulbs...

just because they are closed it doesnt mean they have zoa pox - look for white stuff on them that are not sand. one furan II pocket in one cap of tank water for 30 minutes, 3 days in a row.
