    Merv's new 40 gallon build

Yo Merv, I have access to a pipe bender if you need one to make your light rack. Just buy some 3/4 inch electrical conduit and bring it with you when you come pick the sump up and we'll bend it however you want. If you want to use it give me a heads up, i'll have to bring it home from work with...

    Mounting an External Pump?

I mounted my Velocity T4 to a small peice of plywood, then siliconed the plywood to the bottom of my stand. My silicone is about 1/4" thick. The silicone dampens the vibration and it also hold it in place. Steve

    Maxima Clams for frags (Galloway)

I have 2 clams in my BC29. One I've had for a year, the other 8 months. I just started a 33L and I am looking for frags. If anyone has any Ricordea or Zoo frags they want to trade let me know. Steve Here are a few pictures of the clams, for some reason the florescent blues have faded alittle...

    Glass-Holes Overflow Experience

As Merv said, I used the 700gph overflow kit on my 33L. I like it a lot. I is very quiet and the kit includes everything you need to install it, including the diamond wholesaw bit. It also has a very low profile so it doesn't get in the way. You can see pics of it in my build thread. Steve

    Micro-bubbles in display tank

Yes the bubbles are very small, like the size of bubbles inside a skimmer The pump I am using is a Velocity T4, it has a 1" hose barb for the intake and return. I then reduce the PVC to 3/4 for all my return plumbing and my manifold, Is this enough restriction to be causing cavitation. Im not...

    Micro-bubbles in display tank

I started to notice a lot of tiny bubbles being blown into my display tank from the returns. I have lockline on my returns that are exposed out of the water. Is there any way there could be a small gap in the pieces of lockline that is creating a venturi, Has anyone ever used lockline where it...

    Nova Extreme T - 5 lights- help

Your gonna want to get the 8 buld fixture. I had the 4 bulb on my 55 and I was limited with the coral I could put in the tank. 55 gallon tanks are hard to make reef tanks out of, the depth makes them hard to aquascape and it really forces you to get a very a powerful light. Steve
