yea what excatly are you running in there and how often do you change out the media. Every month or so on mine its a piece of cake if you dont know they sell quick disconnect volves so when you want to remove all you do is close out the valve and disconnect the lines with no more water spilling...

I have the same skimmer and had the same problem. Turn the button all the way down and gradually turn it up. You might have it set to high. It gonna take some playing around with. With mine i found two problems one was it was leaking water from where the collection cup meet and the skimmer...

kinda of concerned is the temperature rising up to 80 in the winter time because i would hate to see whats it going to be when summer time comes. You would definitely need to get that checked out. I honestly think that's too much of a swing 6 degrees

Also depends on your budget because other lights can be pretty expensive metal halide or the vho. I just purchased 2 150 metal halide retro fit kit for just under 700 bucks. I also had a pc light and was not recommended for reef. All depends on what corals you want to keep. Good luck

I also have mine stable at 77-78 chiller is set at 79. I also have two heaters in my sump incase one fails youll have a backup. Should really look into but how do you get the fans to come on at 78. Is this a house fan or pc fan with temp controll.
