it's a fairly new idea to go to the bigger tank so im just looking into the total costs. i know the initial set up is a big cost but i figured i could add rock , corals and fish as i go and spread the stocking cost over a year or so. i also figured the cost of opperating every month will(should)...
holy crap batman...... ;D
but hun , you said to go big....hahahaha...
im positive she would flip out if i brought that home.......
whats the problem with aquascaping an 18in deep tank.... i once had a 90 and thought it was ok........curently i have 2 20 gal set ups and monthly costs are...
hi all, the wife just told me that she has no objections to a larger tank but if i do upgrade it should be "as big as i want to go. dont upgrade to just want a bigger tank later and then have to upgrade again." wooohoooo! isn't she awesome.. ;D
so the question is what is your opperational cost...
IMO i would say that it should be judged on total water volume because more water = more room for error and easier to keep stable over time.
i myself keep two 20 gal individual tanks , 1 is a mixed reef and the other is a frag tank. i consider them mini-size because i can use standard equipment...
i,ve been away for a few days.......it might be the a/c

it went from 8.1 (steady for months on end ) to 7.9(tested yesterday)

i agree .......common bristle worm...no harm at all to the tank of inhabitants.
it will eat any left over food and scavenge the sandbed ,keeping the tank cleaner than without them....and watch out for them when doing tank maintenance.the bristles sting like hell if you get them in your skin...
are you talking about the swamp by the meadowlands?
i use to ride out there when i lived in seacaucus. it would be closer but is it leagle? i have a few friends that had there rides impounded for being on state property(tresspassing)it cost ther like $500 for impound , storage and tickets. >:(
