i use the frozen water bottles in my nano. swap them out on really hot days to try and keep it below 82. i also open front feeder door and let the fan blow in cooler air.

if you have enough rock in your tank i wouldnt put it in your sump. just gonna hold in waste. the rock in your tank is the bio filter. put a light over the sump if ya can use it as a refugium, the light is for the plants(macro) you can put in there to burn up the waste. you have to targer feed...

yeah add some macro in your sump. . . something to do away with the fish waste
