The flex hose on the Drain can that be cut ant the end glued back on or if I cut it I won't be able to get it on? I don't like the loop it makes.

Im using the same salt and i only have to put in some 2 part calcium and alk every couple days. But you would need to do that anyway. Red sea pro salt is fine.
I saw this tank in person today and it was beautiful. I liked the layout and that it was only a couple of species. It gives it a nice natural look.

I am planning an auto top off for my new tank
the only hitch is that my water will be in another room
I was thinking of a dosing pump this way it wont add water too fast and fill my sump with fresh water.
it will have to be pumped 7-8 ft high and about 15 foot across
am i going the right route...
