I finally was able to get some work done on the cabinet door panels for the hood/canopy. The plan was to mimic the shaker style I used for the stand but I used (dimensionally) smaller lumber to keep weight down. The panels will not be attached – they’ll just ‘hang” on the frame so it will be...
Maybe I should be careful not to let on too much about me (but who else is reading this anyway at this point :) ) but Rule 7 reads: The pictures should be photos that have not been previously posted on any local forum
As you see, it says “should” and not “shall” or “must” so it’s more of a...
oh well, I just thought it was cool - and seemed appropriate for valentine's day more than saving it for something down the road. Besides, I think I remember seeing something from Sunny a week or 2 ago saying that the POTM hadn't changed since last summer. I guess there'd be little or no reason...
I thought POTM was picked from a post and nominated by someone. I didn't think I was supposed to "save" for that. Anyway just thought it was funny the the nem decided it wanted to be relevant. :)
I knew I shouldn't have planned to be able to leave for lunch...
hopefully over the weekend and the Lowes down south will have it. I've picked up a bunch of that Watts stuff before at various Lowes and HDs - my whole ATO and RO/Di are pieced togeather with Watts stuff.
Awesome John, thank you! I may have to take a run over at lunch - is that right off 130 in the Hamilton Square shopping center (with Red Robin, etc..). I'm sure most Lowes are stocked the same but I may as well start with one I know has it....
John:
what did you use to transition from the PVC ball valve to the john guest fittings? And are you using 1/2" to 1/4" tees? also, what are you using for your flexible supply line? is it flex PVC? where did you get it? thanks
since this has a limited shelf life of roughly 24 hours I figured I'd knock it back up top - sort of like a broken clock that's always right twice a day, this picture works on exactly one day a year....
'tis the season
and the happy couple's love the nem is celebrating...
Can't you just hear Barry White?
happy Hallmark - err, uh valentines day (or as my kids say with all the conviction in the world "balloon times" day. They're 5. They thought the anemone was communicating with them...
Alright so I have a std AGA reef ready 90 with the std durso setup so here's hoping I can throttle the 24 back enough. I'm gonna set up 5 or 6 outlets on the manifold. 1)Return 2)bio pellets 3)GAC 4)GFO 5)fuge-flow 6)spare. Not sure I have the patience to wait until I redo the sump and plumbing...
Chris
having set that up, do you think a 24 is necessary or could I get away with an 18? People seem to sell off the 18s pretty often so that might be a little easier. Planning to run my return and the reactors off one pump may require a 24 but I thought it was worth asking.
Thanks guys. Looks like I'll be re-doing my plumbing and once I start that I think I should take care of some other issues with my sump layout so my skimmer fits. That's gonna have to wait for summer or fall.
Jgraz - how do you like that Rio pump?
I don't know why I said "bulkhead" - I meant manifold. Anyway, would that work with a submersible "pond" type pump? I'd have 4 ball valves. The 4th would be just for some added circulation for the fuge and act as a vent if I close a valve for reactor maintenance - so the remaining reactors...
I've read that several people are running their reactors off a bulkhead set up off their return pumps. I’m thinking about trying a variation on this. I have a Mag 9.5 for my return so I don’t think I can use that but I was thinking about trying something just for my reactors. I can’t really...
ok - I thought I could answer - that is until I saw 300 gallons. I used to take mine to the DPW bldg in collingswood - there's a drop off outside the garage there for batteries and oil. That or Pep Boys always will take it (I think at some you need a recipt showing that you bought the oil...
thanks Ray. I'll send a PM.
thanks Jose. My wife's working all weekend so I'm on daddy duty. Can't make it out Berlin today but thank you very much for the offer. Ray's local so I think I'm covered.
