Sorry to know that rich. I am thinking of putting clams in my system as well, but cheaper ones than the one you had. I did read some posts saying whelks( snails of some sort) eat clams and don't bother anything else. You could perhaps research it and find out if you have any.

Why salinity? These are saltwater clams, but from temperate regions.

Thanks a lot for the info jerzsky. I contacted the guy again, and he said that if he does provide the 150 , it will be with ballasts for 150 and I would not be able to put 250 without replacing the ballasts. So for the 20g I would go ahead with just the t5s. Yes I do use pc lighting right...
