I live in Jackson, Nj I'm looking for a new saltwater store with a wider selection of fish and inverts. I currently go to tropiquarium but I feel like they don't have a huge variety and their prices are fairly high in comparison to online. That being said I haven't really been to any other real...
Sorry, maybe I didn't word it properly. This is my situation, I currently have high phos levels. I believe this I because my live rock is not fully cured. Is there a way to speed up the curing process which will in turn lower my phos levels. I looked into biospira and it only spoke about...
Is there any way to speed it up? I'm suffering from high phos levels (new tank) and I believe this is the reason, I use RO/DI processed water which gives me phos levels of about .5 (ordering a Hanna hi 713) to get a more accurate reading but the .5 is a ballpark
i believe the phos is from the rock curing, its a fairly new tank been up and running for a few weeks. just started doing water changes with RODI hopefully this will get the water under control. i'm thinking of doing a 50% water change this week but first i'm going to order the hanna hi 713 to...
i recently had a minor algae outbreak, it seems to be strictly on one piece of LR (small piece) and i researched it and it seems to be a few solutions, first of which is light deprevation. i am hesitant to pursue this method because i dont want to hurt the coralline growth i have within my tank...
Yeah I want the apex controller but its $450 and I have to save up. I don't want to buy a half *** controller only to buy a better one later on you know, I might buy the Jäger for time being until I can buy the controller
im looking to purchase a new heater, one that has a digital reader of the temperature is within the tank if possible. my current one just has a green/red color combination so i never know if my tank is overheating. i have a 55g so i'm looking for one rated at 100g or so. open to all suggestions...
Yeah I think I'm going to get the one rated for 120g since its only $20 more, I actually have another question lol. I see the diatom algae is beginning to affect my coralline algae it looks dull and tv coralline is essentially being consumed by the diatom algae it's going over top of it. Is this...
Yeah I'm looking into the reef angel plus so I'd just get a ph probe for the controller, now I have a 55g would it be beneficial for me to get a skimmer rated for 120g+ or would it be a waste? I was looking into the reef octopus nwb110
Just finished cycling water through the RO/DI, phosphates are at 0 .25 the highest (in need of a new test kit the one I have is a bit hard to differentiate the colors. That being said, regardless the phos levels are much better I'm going to retest in 2 days to ensure my bucket isn't giving off...
I'm just breaking out the RO/DI unit now for the first time. I'm in the process of hooking it up and figuring it out. Instead of using the Home Depot bin I'm using an instant ocean container in hopes that this would be better for storage
I'm using a standard plastic bucket from Home Depot, I am unsure of the PO4 content I attached a photo of my phos levels from tap water it seems to be at a .5
