Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Glad it worked, we have a lot of people that use the AC series and a number of us who love to toil in the interface. I have had a great time working/replacing the Internal web pages in the AC3 to make work better. There isn't a lot of extra memory in it, but enough to make minor tweaks to the...

Hey MedaChef, my partner Pete (ChefPete here on NJRC) is also a professional chef and loves an excuse (or should I say challenge), you guys can compare notes.
LM are good but very expensive.. here is what I use:

Works great and has special remote on/off for use with Neptune Aquacontroller. I set the rate per hour in the pump then have the controller turn the motor on and off for 6 hours in the middle of the night.

I usually don't fiddle with the dosing pump settings. I will usually just make a single correction/addition manually. I only change the dosing pump, if for example at the end of the week I am constantly adding ALK or Calcium.
This is an area I have a lot of experience in. I have been dosing 2 part for a long time.
Keeping in mind that Alkalinity is item you are going to try to keep to a solid number and the calcium will follow. To many times people chase the Calcium number up and down - when it changes very little...
Throw the calibration fluid out. Once exposed to air, it degrades quickly - usually in less than a few hours. The result will be a probe that reads artificially low.
If someone reminds me the day before the meeting, I can bring some 53 MS calibration fluid for the Refractometers. Just bring the Refractometers and we will calibrate right there.
Water alarms are $10 and they save lots of marriages. Put one under your stand, under your sump, etc.

Re: Phosban from Goup Buy Questions
Let me seperate comments here, one as GB manager, and one as a consumer.
GB Manager Hat: The GFH (Not GFO) we purchase is not purchased from Bulk Reef supply, it is purchased from another supplier. Since we get very very special pricing, we are not allowed...
Re: Phosban from Goup Buy Questions
Phosguard (Seachem) is falling out of popularity as it is aluminimum based rather than iron based. Though it does an better job initally to tackle a PO4, it can reach total exhaustion in 3 -4 days and is not well suited for maintenance mode. It also has a...
Re: Phosban from Goup Buy Questions
Seperate them. Carbon needs a higher flow and the pressure of using the same pump going from one to another causes back pressure.
Either get 2 pumps, or a single pump with a Tee (or Y) and use valves on the input side of both to control the flow.
Re: Phosban from Goup Buy Questions
The reactor is specifically made for this. There is a foam disk on the top and bottom of the reactor.
You will want to fill it with at least 200 ML (about 1/2 cup) up to 385 ML, about 1 1/4 cup. You want to use a slow flow pump, about 80 gallons per minute...

Ginny is a breeze to deal with.
Rather then getting the felt stuff they sell in the LFS. You can do much better getting the Nylon Mesh at 100 or 150 Microns. Nylon is completely washable and can stand lots of cleanings, where felt (although cheap) are usaless after...
Tenecor does a lot of custom building for many of the "stores" that claim to custom build. The stores takes the specs, send it to tenecor, they make the product and sell it to the Store... and so on and so on.
Tenecor, does make some great custom stuff.
