Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I guess that, now that you have built your rockwork from uncured rock, you will just have to wait a bit longer for all the crap to clear out before you can start putting things in (patience is not one of my virtues ;) ).
Very strange numbers for a tank that is running for only one day - pH way low and nitrogen over the roof. You either have a extremely bad water, uncured rock or really dead "live" sand. Lots of patience needed before before you should put anything in.

When I was buying my Magelan 2200T GPS, I used this site to review and compare different models:

For a price I paid (300$) I am satisfied with it. The problems it has, are, I believe, common for all models - maps are not necessarily...
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the point of the valves/holes on a Durso pipe to add a (controlled) amount of air into the pipe. More air - less water throughthe pipe.
As for Phyllis' suggestion, you can use the tube for freezer water line. It is relatively rigid and can be quite long
I was wandering, when you are comparing the amounts of the lights that they produce, how was the amount of produced light for MH measured. Is it for a single ended or double endded? The reason I am asking this is that LEDs produce relatively narrow beam, therefore almost all of their light is...
Pincushion is not a scintific name and there are several species in the trade that are called pincushin urchins. Now, all those that I have seen being called pincushion urchins are densly covered with much shorter spines, and yours doesn't look like any of them. Most of the urchins are reef...
OK, I guess I am in, if I can find affordable place where I can rent the equipment, and the date does not collide with something else me and my family planned.
I know the feeling of hundreds of wires under the tank :) , but look at it this way: one larg pump doing the job of two smaller ones, basically must use the same energy (power) that those two smaller ones are using. For example mag 9.5 (950g/h) uses same 93W as two mag 5's (500g/h), 45W each...
What do you hope to achieve with replacement of the Magnum 350 pump with some other? For 72gal tank, it already has substantial turnover (5x). Replacing its motor with stronger pump might not be that productive because a) stronger flow through filtering media might reduce its filtering capacity...
And don't despair and have patience. Even if only a smudge of it was left on the rock, leave it and it might rebound and grow again, like my did some months ago. It was almost completely gone, justa few 1/8" crums left and then it rebounded and is still growing nicely.
I did "experiment" with the idea that I saw on the meeting (thanks Rich) about adding superglue to the epoxy and mixing it all together. Interestingly, when I added it to the epoxy that was months and months old, and almost all dry and difficult to mix (outer component was crunchy), I got a mix...
It was done with Mr. Sticky's Underwater Glue :

Drop by again, and I will give you a few more frags of Kenya trees (not today, I will have guests for BBQ and my wife will kill me if I don't spend "quality" time with the family ;)...
