Do you use a Quarentine Tank?

i got all the plumbing for refugium complete. both the 180g display tank and the 55g refugium both overflow into a 55g sump. everything seems to be working correctly! i know i have to post pics soon!

if there is a good local plumbing store near you, you should be able to bring that connector in and have them replace it. same thing happened to me.

i have plenty of room in my sump in the event of a power outage & check valve failure. but it is good to have a check valve in-line so i can shut of the pumps and not have a full sump.

home depot never helps. i only go there if i know exactly what i need, and i am sure they have it. maybe there is a small fracture in the connector. that happened to me once. i went to the local plumbing store and they were able to make me a new connector for like 7 bucks.

hmmm, i think i am going to go the pre-made route on this one here. the diy things has not be going so well for me the past cpl days.

unless someone else knows a place close by to get one, i can certainly wait till later today. thanks!

Does anyone know where I can get a 3/4 inch barbed-end check valve? I am in central NJ, I tried both Absolutely Fish in Clifton and Aquatic Obsessions in Avenel. Thanks, Bill

got them yesterday. 4 korila-4's. excellent circulation in the tank now. plus i am using a smaller mag drive now, so i think that should cut back on the micro bubbles (plus the new & improved bubble traps in the new sump).

Does anyone know where I can buy a 3 section sump- refugium/skimmer/return-any order. i am looking to buy one now. i just over tightened the bulkhead on my sump and cracked it. so pissed. not to mention the huge gash i got in my finger moving the broken 55g tank. i probably need stitches. but...

what size tank is this, how big is the sump, and what kind of pump are you using?

i am battling micro bubbles myself, but my skimmer is not in the same chamber. i plan on my making modifications to my bubble trap. i would suggest installing a bubble trap between your skimmer and return pump.

i have always just spray painted my tanks. i have done black and different shades of blue. my current tank 180g is spray painted navy blue, which IMO looks best with atinics. anyway, i saw this other day and i thought it was kinda cool scroll down to mid page and click background panel...
