Higher ph definitely helps with growth. When I ran the reactor before my ph was 8.2 to 8.1 with kalkwasser. I'm going to try it without the stirrer and see how it goes. If it drops below 8 during the day I'm going to but it back on.

Cant beat black box led for the price they range from $80 to $130. I have viparspectra leds got them off ebay for $100. They work very well nothing fancy but get the job done. They have a built in controller so you dont need to hook them up to your reef keeper.

Definitely worth the ride to hidden reef they have a ton of tanks.
